Albert Tomàs holds a degree in Journalism (2013) and a degree and MA in Catalan Philology (2017). Under Josep Pujol’s supervision, he is currently completing a Ph.D. dissertation on the Catalan translation of Augustine’s City of God, a version which included the commentary by Thomas Waleys. He has been a contracted researcher within the Traces project (2015-2018), a Generalitat de Catalunya predoctoral researcher (2019-2022) and has taught in the Catalan Department at UAB (2019-2022). Between 2020 and 2022 Tomàs has undertaken two research stays at the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris, under Prof. Fabio Zinelli’s mentorship, and at the École de Chartres under Prof. Frédéric Duval’s supervision. He currently holds a lector position at the Centre d’Études Catalanes (Sorbonne Université, Paris). His research focuses on the cultural milieu cultural of Medieval Catalan courts, with an emphasis on the reception of Classical literature and textual editions.
